I play piano and clarinet would the guitar be hard it looks really easy and loads of people play so I`d teach my self. Could you give me advice on the best type and which books please?

Any instument is easy to take up if you have the time for it and can work hard at trying to learn all that you can. Yes, it is fairly easy.

No way to play guitar u have to put all your body into it (including ur peepee) and it will take years of suffering and practicing. i have been playing for a year and mama mia the rewards are great but i have no time for anything else but guitar and breathing. (j/k guitar is nothin but fun and it helps u get chicks too)

I also play the Clarinet, piano (an some other instruments) and I`ve just started the guitar. It`s easy for me, as I have lessons, but if you have the time, and you take it seriously, you`ll be able to pick it up easily!

no it ain`t very hard, i also played the piano, but now i plkay the gitar, it took me about 2 months to learn the most thing...so...

Hey guitar is easy ive been playing for 8 years. I think guitar is WAY easier than the clarenet (sorry im only 14 i cant spell). Help you get chicks too

I would recomend guitar lessons from a teacher
(much more easier and faster than a book.)

I would say get a chord chart and then go buy a whole bunch of guitar magazines. You get a bunch of useful information on your baby and you get lots and lots of tabliture. I buy Guitar Player, Acoustic Guitar, Guitar World. They`re loads of fun.

no the guitar is not EASY- it takes a lot of hard work and effort. all u people saying it is easy 2 play r putting urselves down because ur saying that u didn`t hav 2 work hard 2 get where u r. and whoever said clarinet was harder was wrong.

i just started teaching myself yesterday now my fingers on my left hand sore like hell. it hurts when i touch other things. Is that normal???

giee - sure is - just take it slow and it will hurt less soon enough - you have to keep at it till the skin on your fingers start to harden.

my holidays hav just started n i`m also interested in starting the guitar. my frens all say my fingers will harden n eventually will get very rough.

Umm...It is fairly easy. Teach yourself basic chords and learn how to read tablature. I was playing all kinds of stuff (RATM, Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, Clapton) in my first month. Give it a shot. www.tabcrawler.com

Playing the guitar is very easy if you`ve had experience with `proper` instruments like the clar` & piano......i play piano, and it has much more depth and skill required than the guitar (which I played for 6 years when I was a kid)

The strings are tuned in fourths, but there`s a third somewhere that might mess you up. I guess the hardest part is learning to read tab, for me.
