Floyd Rose Help...

I have a liscensed floyd rose... i hear that you can not tune down or tune up with out equal tension on the floyd rose... you gotta keep the base plate parrelell to the body... does any body know if i am able to get thicker strings and tune it to whatever tuning it gives me with equal tension... i dont want to stick to standard tuning... i want to go to Drop C or Drop B... does anybody knwo if its possible and if it is... do you know what gauge strings i need... i have noe clue how long my neck is... it is jumbo fretted some im guessing its a little longer than normal... i need help...

Yes, I believe that the bridge plate should be parallel to the body, for best performance, intonation etc. When changing guages of string, adjust the tension on the bridge using the screws anchoring the claw holding the tremolo springs underneath the plastic cover on the back of the guitar. But you will not be able to change tunings easily and quickly, back & forth. Strat man Dwight

Good replies by strat man Dwight Listmayer but you can achieve those tunings with your regular every day strings, usually lights on a rose, 9 42s.
