Hello,
I am a professional violinist and composer and I`d like to learn more about classical guitar fingering.
My first questions are:
- How much fingerings have to be written? In other words: is it better to have fingerings for any note or just in the harder passages? What do you suggest?
- The indications of the right hand (pim) how much are important?
Any advice is very welcome.
Thank you in advance!
Sincerely,
Fab.

Usually you only have to suggest the fingerings the outset. Most fingerings are obvious and repeated notation of them can get in the way as they become distracting. A player will stop paying attention after a while and when a change in fingering happens, it will be missed. Economy is best.
