What is the best neck neck for shredding. I`ve been checking into the Ibanez RG series and Jackson, but which is better?

I also have a particular liking for thin fast necks, like the wizard II. Jackson necks are a little thicker. .Which, of all known necks is fastest/thinnest?

yes, I believe the Wizard II neck is about the best neck out there. I also liked the slim-taper epiphone necks. I own a Jackson USA dinky, and so far, it is my favorite guitar as far as neck feel goes.

I believe you can shred on just about any fairly thin neck, radius is also an issue, should be fairly flat. I don`t want to get all technical. I like Ibanez especially for that. Ibanez and shredder are two terms that get used together often! Strat man Dwight

Its really a matter of opinion... I havent tried out RG`s but i know theyre great. JAcksons have a nice feel and really thin necks, too thin for my taste. Old 80s Kramers are awesome... Ive heard the brand Carvin`s necks are even nicer than jacksons in feel although not as thin. I have a Carvin amp so i wouldnt be surprised if their guitars are awesome. www.carvin.com

Good call squires are for smashing and smashing only, those are the biggest peices of crap ever, i my self am a fender man, i prefer Malmsteens tone, there is no "fastest neck" its what you like, if you are looking of a guitar check out a stratocaster (fender not squier!) their necks are very comfortable and very smooth, problem is, is that they are only 21 and 22 frets... But if u want to be a pro, play like me all scalloped necks!, its tough at first but its gets quite comfortable! FENDER THROUGH A MARSHALL WITH A DISTORTION PEDEL! perfect match
