Im looking for a new guitar...all i am concerned about is versatility...since i like almost every genre of music, from metal to jazz, blues, fusion, punk, industrial...which are the most versatile models in the market? ive been told about Ibanez guitars..i specially like the 7 string JEM models..but there might be better options..i would be pleased if you could help me..Thanks

i have a ibanez artcore (the one that looks like an Es-335) and i play blues, rock, funk, and some jazz. It would have a hard time pulling off metal or country. its only 300

The Ibanez is fantastic, but you don`t actually need 7 strings. They have many other good models too. A little heavy on the humbuckers though. Get a single coil in the middle if you go with Ibanez. Stratocaster is the World`s most universal, adaptable and possibly versatile electric guitar, whether people get their shorts in a knot or not, the fact JUST IS. You will need at least one humbucker in there for your switching of genres. I play 20 different brands because I can. Strat Man Dwight
