I have just ordered 2 sets of handwound humbuckers from www.truetonetechnologies.com, one set for a Les Paul and the other for an Ibanez. I have seen good reviews on harmonycentral. That is enough to get my interest. But I can hardly wait to see what they sound like in the real world. Anybody actually got them in a Les Paul Std. or Ibanez RG-series or similar guitar? Thanks. Gotta get me some of them pickups Strat man. Do they give samples? You sound like there`s a Dwight Listmayer special edition or something. How come Clapton don`t have them, I dont know, maybe he should cuz he sold most of his Fender and Gibson guitars. I won`t to know what they do for you before I join in. Can you compare them with Rio Grande?

Hey Bone just told me about this topic. Would truetonetechnologies make pickups for my Ibanez single, single, hum? My axe sounds good but is noisy. Somebody said it maybe ceramic pikups. Or should I just get a new one from Vai or Satriani?

I have not tried the truetonetechnologies single coils yet, but I might after these humbuckers. I don`t know if they have P90`s. If not on the website, you could email. Strat Man Dwight

Single coils are bright and humbuckers have fuller sound, maybe louder with sustain. Theres Symor Duncan humbuckers that fit in single coil spacing in some guitsars. Did you ever try those strat man dwight/.

I just installed a Strat Blues Set from TrueTone Technologies and I think they are wonderful. IT`s hard to believe that he can hand wind pickups for that price, and he just added P90`s to his line. I know everyone has their own opinion but I like the pickups alot.

Thank you Ed Karges for your input. I`m very serious about Stratocaster tone, and good pricing is an additional bonus. I will try to get a set. Strat man Dwight

Sorry, Sticky fingers, I really didn`t know what you meant at first. Yes I have tried Seymour Duncan mini-humbuckers, first the little 59 and switched to the JB Junior for a bit more power. Just a matter of taste & style. But for these types, I have found and am "sticking" - ha! with DiMarzio stacks, similar to Yngwie Malmsteen. They have plenty of power & tone, seems like even more if you split them, and they run quiet without electromagnetic interference. To be honest, they are quite expensive. Strat Man Dwight

i wanna get a Gretch guitar like my deArmand with humbuckers and I get a bit of feedback and squeel from them. dont now if just pickups alone would fix that or make it worst or my amp speakers shot.

I just got a Mexican Stratocaster, and I`m not even got used to it yet, but I want to change pickups. Not because I hate it, i love it but many friends have gone to better pickups and boy does it ever make a difference. Some spend as much on the pickups as they cost on the guitar, so I like the prices of these ones, its way less than some. Hey I read the reaviews and its lookin good. thanks.

Does the type of pickup really make a difference? What about the amp and maybe the effects? What if you use a lot of distortion all the time? UR cool, thanks. NS
