Beginning with the vibtation of the strings, and the unplugged resonance of a guitar body, the pickups receive the quality of sound, from it`s origin, transfer it through the guitar`s own circuitry and through a presumably good cable ... then down the line to the effects and the amp etc. Strat man Dwight

I need pickups that dont make noise from radio interference or lighting, maybe quieter or whatever. dont want vintage sound, but hotter more edge in Peavey guitar. Just a cheapy but I got a friend who knows how to wire new pickups. He liked the website, will be looking for good balance of bass, mids and highs too. Thanx.

I am looking for single coils too. I can`t believe the prices, these true-tonetechnologies pickups are reasonable. But I would like to see some more reviews or replies from users, no offence to you "Dwight Listmayer". Thank you.

I agree, if there are any more users of truetone`s single coils, or any? out there. Perhaps this isn`t the right forum? Or the issue is too specific. I`m sold on the humbuckers, and will probably get hand made single coils afterward. Strat man Dwight

Scuse me, i was just reading here and got a problem with my Jazz bass pickups. Mine`s not even Fender, it is the other brand that starts with s. They never had any kick from the start, so like i didn`t have to change to diffrent strings or anything. Thought it was my amp so tried my buddies. It sounded very flat like the tone was turned down. my buddy says its a bad neck. What???????? i think my pickups are el cheapos, you get what you pay, and I wonder how much bass pickups cost but not Bartolini,,,,,toooexpensive. Winn

I didn`t see bass pickups on the true tone site, but maybe they could be rewound? The pickups you mentioned in previous post are world renowned, but expensive ... yes. What you do with your pickups I suppose depends on how much you like your bass as a platform for any improvements you think you might make. Thanks for reading and good luck. Strat man Dwight
