Ok so my dumbass was playing Led Zeppelin`s "In My time of Dying" which on the record is tuned to an open A chord (the D G and B strings tuned up a whole step). Now ive done this before on my old guitar which was a cheap peice of crap and didnt have a tremelo bridge. But this time i did it on my barely a year old PRS custom 24 which has a tremelo bridge and now when i retuned to standard it SOUNDS AWEFUL. The strings dont stay in tune at all and the intonation is way off. I thing i just totally screwed my bridge over but dont know the first thing when it coems to guitar repair. i want to take it to a shop but dont have much money to spare at the moment. Did i just totally ruin my guitar? Is it fixable? Is it somethign i might be able to fix myself with the right instructions? If not, who would you recommend i take it to? I live in chicago area.
I know im a dumbass for tuning my strings so tight without thinking "hey this will probably screw up you bridge", but hey, we all make dumb mistakes sometimes. Any help is appreciated.

You can`t hurt a PRS trem that way, but the neck will take a day to readjust itself, with strings slackened. I think there`s 2 strong steel truss rods in there. New strings are recommended now. Need info? - call either Chicago Blues Society or chicago blues org - something like that. They`ve got a thousand years experience on similarly built guitars. Strat Man Dwight
