my strings keep buzzing when I play on the first few frets no matter how hard I push down, I think Ive heard of this before. How hard is it to fix, and how bad of a problem is it?

You either need a truss rod adjustment or fret dressing.

Dag is 100% correct. But wait, did you switch to lighter guage strings lately, or place the guitar in a warmer place? Or is it Summer wherever you live? I`m saying your neck probably has underbow. You can find all these things, and truss rod adjustment on the web. Easiest thing, go to heavier strings, to 10 - 42`s or 11 - 49`s if you`re already on 10`s. Or try the truss rod adjustment, loosening it one turn. If that doesn`t work, it might take 24 hours before you know, then fret levelling and dressing are required. Strat man Dwight

I meant 10 - 46 strings, where I said 10 - 42 previously. 10 - 46 are considered light. 9 - 42`s extra light, cause underbow if your guitar was set up for 10`s. Strat man Dwight
