I`m teaching myself to play. where can I find free sheet music w/ chords? What`s the difference between an acoustic and an electric? Where can I find some general information about the topic? Any tips?

I learned to play by using music that showed the cords along with the lyrics. You can find MANY songs free on the net. Just do searches for "lyrics" and band "name" such as "Jimmy Buffet". You will do best by picking songs you know well to start with and that have simple cords, ( C, D, G, Em, E etc. )Then....just put in the time. Best of Luck.

go to ULTIMATEGUITAR.COM pick a 3 or 4 chord song and play it at least a week, over and over to the cd. u`ll learn those 4 chords and be rocking in no time. acoustic isnt plugged in. electric is. they have combination (acoustic/electric) guitars. those are great to start on. cause u dont need an amp to hear it. but when u want to move up to an amp they are all ready to plug in.
