When you say 3/4 or 4/4, I`m assuming you`re looking at acoustics. Try both and see which one you have more control over. If you mean electrics you can try a junior guitar. It`s not a little kids guitar; Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day plays a Les Paul Junior.

if ur just starting out squier makes electrics that might fit u and ur budget. just always take someone who knows guitars to help pick a good one.
