I just bought an used classical guitar. This guitar is all-solid and the brand name is L. Marroni (or L. Morroni). The only information about the guitar is that it was made in Italy.

I would like to know more about this guitar.

I made a mistake!
The name of the brand should be
"L. Mozzani" and the guitar was made in Italy.

My L. Mozzani guitar is a classical guitar with a shallower body.

The guitar is all-solid and the appearance looks like more than half century old. I used to have a antique parlor guitar made in the end of 19th century and this L. Mozzani guitar has similar finish to it.

The label in the guitar reads:

L. Mozzani
MODEL NUMBER: Llossico "A"
SERIAL NUMBERE: H120 No244
MADE EXPRESSLY FOR CMI

In side the body,
one also can read "Made in Italy" and the mark "L. Mozzani".

Hey,

I have an L. Marroni Guitar, Serial No. 3702, Model Classical A, and since I don`t play guitar, I`d like to sell it. Does anyone here have any idea how much it`s worth? It`s in great shape: I had a friend play it and he said it played nicely and had a nice sound. Thanks for any info you`ve got!

I made a mistake too, it`s L. Mozzoni or Mazzoni, or maybe Mozzani... hard to tell.

Is the model "clossico A"?
How`s the condition?
If yours is the same model as mine, it is an all-solid guitar. The back and sides are solid rosewood. Then, you should know how much it may cost.

why dont u just bring it into a guitar place and see what they offer for it. just pretend u know the value and dont offer a suggestion as to price.

then take it to a couple more places, compare the offers.
something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

then again, there`s always ebay.

I saw a catalogue 20 years ago with an "Mozzani" solid top, laminated back/sides classical guitar. The list price was about 200-250 USD at that time. Not sure if "L. Mozzani" is the same brand as "Mozzani" and the all solid "L. Mozzani" guitar that I own seems to be much older than 30 years old.

I am an owner of a Mozzani classical guitar (Model Concerto, Serial# 21).

Copied a write-out from a Japanese website: http://www.aa.cyberhome.ne.jp/~ibsen/musicbun/mozani.htm

"...After his death, his inheritage and his name were undeservedly spent in a series of entreprises, including the label of a guitar produced by an Italian factory..."

So it really matters which year the guitar is produced: anything after 1943 will not involve the man himself.
