I have a love for psychedelic rock and blues rock like Jimi Hendrix, Cream, The Airplane, etc.
Is it stupid to write and perform music with this sound>

Well, it`s just that everyone seems to be in just punk music or whatever. I don`t think that people would dig that kind of music.

nah, if uve ever gone on the forum at ultimateguitar.com everyone there loves that kind of music.

I`d love to hear somebody, or a band break through with that vintage vibe. But the problem is it ain`t gonna happen, because it`s vintage, classic, retro ... call it what you will, it would only get compared to Hendrix and Clapton, and it wouldn`t stand up in the marketplace (moneyplace). The gods & their product are already enshrined.

Still, that doesn`t stop somebody from writing it, playing it, bringing back that style. It`s an ART form that wasn`t stupid in the first place, it`s not stupid now, just not a business commodity - that`s my opinion.

Thanks...I know about being compared to those guys. Although they were geniuses and I am nowhere near their level of creativity, I still have their "sound". Thanks for making me feel better, though.
