Why do you play?
Why do you play?

OK, these questions may seem corny or cheesy or whatever, but I`ve been wondering about them for a while, and this seems to be a good place to ask, so here goes:
1)Why do you play? (i.e., personal enjoyment, band, forced to, whatever)
2)What do you feel when you play the piano?
I started to play at the encouragement of parents, but I`ve kept with it and am really starting to enjoy it for what it is: artistic expression and a major STRESS-BUSTER.
When I play, I feel...released, in a way (I said it would be cheesy). I don`t really worry or think about anything else. If I`m mad, I play and I`m not mad at the end of the set.
Please share your thoughts

well my answer might seem corny or cheesey.. BUT...
when i play, i forget about all the crap that happened during the day, or relationship problems, and i feel a sense of peace that i dont get from doing anything else, like all the problems that are going on (which is usually many) in my day melt away when i play

I think that it`s a common feeling. I`ve never had so much satisfaction before I started playing the piano.
It`s giving others and yourself feelings and emotions...
I think that many feel relaxed, because they somehow share their inner with the ones who are listening to him, or are playing with him.
I find beautiful playing with others. Do you?

I play all the time. It just makes me feel so relaxed. When im really stressed out i love thumping out the same tune over and over again just to annoy my parents. It may be corny but it is just one of the best things to be able to play and when i do play i just feel so proud that i can do it. What i also love about playing is the fact that you always get better and you can get so much out of playing, whether you are playing the easiest thing ever or the hardest. Its just a good feeling.

I play all the time. I find that, as lots of other people have said, I find it really relaxing. It`s corny, but I can actually feel everything else slipping away as I play and I just forget anything that`s getting me down. I`ll play anything, but I`ve recently started some minimilistic stuff, and I love it and find it`s a great stress buster cos it gets so intense.
I started playing when I was four, cos my mum started and I was interested so she thought I might like it.
