i have perfect pitch - i can tell when things are out of tune, i can tell what key things are in off the top of my head. is anyone else around here like that?

That reminds me, when the orchestra class I was in was playing a song and I was standing up 20ft or so away from them, out of 50ish people, I could see and hear every person that was playing out of tune. I was saying in my head "I didn`t know we sounded that bad" the funny thing is that the music teacher didn`t notice one mistake, hmmm ? That happened more than one. I can always tell when anybody or any music is out of tune.

perfect pitch is a great gift but it can also mess up your theory a tad bit...for ex. some people with this gift rely so much on their perfect pitch for intervals instead of actually knowning what a 3rd..4th or 6th sounds like..they have to find out what each note was played simultaneously.instead of hearing it as a whole.i cant reallly describe it..its kinda like taking a test with the answer sheet right next to it
