Can anyone tell me the process of how you look at piano music? I can easily see a single staff, but trying to see notation that is above C5 while looking at bass cleff notes is a real struggle for me.
Do you relax your stare to take in everything, foregoing accuracy or do you "scan" such as quick look at the treble cleff then glance at the bass cleff? Is it a question of getting the big picture, and if so so how do you accurately see the exact notes?
I seem to have trouble with vertical stretches.
thanks!

It just takes practice and getting used to it. After awhile you're hands kindof start to use muscle memory so you only have to glance at the notes to be able to play them. I suppose for the longer vertical stretches I use a quick up and down scan as I play, but like I said, the more you practice, the easier it gets.
