New to the piano and new to the forum here, want to say hi to everyone and wish to learn from you, and hopefully can make some contribution some day as well.

As an adult learner, I am trying to pick up piano by taking an online course. I started three weeks ago, and so far feel pretty good with the format of the course (practical step by step instructions with some audio/video support), and feel like making some progress every day.

Now, the teacher claims that by finishing the 12 lessons (over 350 pages) successfully, you can expect to become an intermediate pianist. Wow, that is exactly my goal - to become an intermediate pianist. But, what is an intermediate pianist? I know nothing is written in stone, but in your opinion, what are some of the qualifications an intermediate pianist should definetely have?
