Well, you could always write on the notes in letter form, but you wouldnt know what note to play as it is written in that way so you can play it properly.

Sorry. That makes no sense.
The different signs on the paper mean different things, like how long to play the note. If you wrote them down in letter form you wouldnt know that.

if you have trouble reading sheet music, try writing the note names above the staff, so you can glance at it if you need them. i write in names for some notes occasionally even after reading music for almost 10 years, when i get up into crazy ledger lines that i never see more tahn once every few years.

my music teachers in elementary school gave us recorder music witht the letter written inside the note, when we were first learning. it was useful then, but it's distracting now, because i don't process letter names while i'm playing, i connect the space on the page to what my fingers should be doing.
