An unusual request maybe or not!

I am a keyboard player. Our church young people have organised a Ball to raise money for an eighteen year old boy called Danny who was until this week my daughter's boyfriend. He has leukemia. He was diagnosed with it just about 4 months ago. He is in hospital at the moment as he is often unwell and needs to go in for transfusions etc.

Anyway, one of our young people Janelene wants to sing two songs at the ball Eva Cassidy
- True Colours and Fields of Gold. Unfortunately it is next weekend and I fear I will not be able to get the sheet music in time.

Does anybody have any suggestions please?

I pray that Danny's treatments will be successful in his fight against that dreadful desease. I was pleased to see the request for Eva Cassidy's songs, as you are probably well aware, she succummed to cancer at a very young age. I simply adore her music and voice and have several CDs which she recorded. And the song "Fields of Gold" is one of the songs. I am not familiar with the other one. However, I have several of her CDS, as I said, but I have not listened to all of the a lot - only a couple are my favorites. Her voice is suburb and there is no one who can hold a candle to her, in my opinion. Again I pray that Danny will conquer this disease and that this program is successfull for all!!

Danny's ball is tomorrow (Saturday) night though he won't be there in person as he is still in hospital at present.

He is young, was very fit, is not overweight so hopefully he'll be one of the 70% successes in about three years. It's so sad and I have shed lots of tears for him and he's not even in my family. However, we are all in the same family of people who can care and share and I thank you so much for your kind words.

Just for anyone who reads this the Ball was a great success and well over £200.00 was raised for Danny. What was as equally important was the commitment of the young people to attend and think of someone not so fortunate as themselves.

And by the way, the music was a great success. We practised several times before the event and Janelene sang really well. So thank you the the kind person who donated the sheet music for the Eva Cassidy songs.
