hi,

well i teach piano to a a few younger students, and when they start, I always tell them to imagine there's an egg wedged under their hand to create the curved shape; then your finger automatically curve. i also tell them that if they make their hand to low and lose the curve, then they squash the egg, but if they have it too high, then the egg rolls free. just make sure your hand are always nicely curved, it is extremely important in piano to have the correct hand position as it ensures a swift movement and if you have bad technique/hand position, it becomes harder to correct later. hope this is useful.
