I just got my first piano. It's an old victor upright which is hard to date seeing as I'm in Australia where things are a little awry. But it's made very sturdily and has a cast iron gold colored plate and a spruce sound board. The upper & lower front panels lift off and the lid folds back so it is just like a gigantic harp that gives out perfect sounds.

I'm in awe of it and it's changed my life. I had no idea pianos were so magnificent.
