hi, i am 16 and have just started learning the keyboard/piano but what is that type of music called when they loop the same tune over and over and make stupid lyrics for it. if you`re in england, and don`t understand what i mean watch bbc 2 at about 7.20 and they have a competition called bum note and then sing a silly kind of rhyme to the tune i am on about..! i can`t find it. but can anyone give me examples or strategy to playing it? after telling me what it is first..

Wow, how about being a little more positive? Let`s not be too condescending here. What I think you`re talking about is called vocalese, and jazz singers use it a lot. It consists of a melody that has already been thought up, usually an improvisational solo, and these singers make up their own words for them. It`s kind of like scatting, but using REAL words. Try Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. They`re known for their vocalese recordings, like that of Miles Davis`s solo for "Summertime." I think this is what you mean. If not, listen to them anyway. They`re terrific!
