I am trying to learn new ways to play other than classical

Hi! I dunno how good u are at this, but to play jazz, u must know how to improvise. And after that, u need some basic training. I`ve got a dip in this, u`ll need to start off by memorizing a whole chart of basic blues scale. This scale is totally different from our classical scales. Maybe u ought to grab some books on blues scales and improvisatory techniques. Yeah, btw, u need to memorize the different sets of acc as well, esp. 4 the lh. ie: bluegrass, bossa nove, samba, etc.
