Hi,
I can normally play white notes between the black notes without getting my
fingers stuck, or without them inadvertently pushing down a neighboring black
note. But I noticed that when I have to play white notes, one after the other,
like E & F, or B&C when playing up near the back of the fallboard, I notice
that they often tend to get stuck. OK, maybe I shouldn`t use the word stuck as
much as I should say that the fingers will rub against the black notes, and
they might accidently sound. I might have to jam the fingers in there. I
think I have average sized hands, and I`d guess that when most of you pianists
would be in a situation where you`d have to play between the black keys, or up
towards the fallboard, when playing white notes E and F consecutively, or B and
C consecutively, the fingers are more likely to feel cramped and to rub against
the surrounding black notes, pushing them down accidentally. . E & F, and B
and C are the two series of white notes that don`t have a black key between
them,.
Is this something I should worry about much, when I come across this? I know
that it`s often recommended that you can tuck you fingers, or attack them from
a different angle, but like I said, my fingers can fit between the black keys
without rubbing much against the black notes, except when playing the white
notes E and F right after the other; or B and C right after the other, between
the black keys. I thought about just playing it like that without tucking the
fingers or going to the trouble of angling, and just saying if it rubs against
the black notes and if they sound, to heck with it. Afterall, I`m playing by
ear anyway and not sheet music. What`s your take on this?

okay i dont FULLY understand you as i dont have the luxury of time to read all of it but i think i get a general idea which is your fingers dont play well of hit the black key when playing two consecutive white keys like E F. Its a problem i had when i played, i still do it but its nothing to worry about. After practicing a song long enough your fingers kinda adapt and lift up and play better.
Dont worry i had that same prob, still do, but after a while you dont do it much. Mostly happens if your not thinking.

I guess I didn`t explain myself very well here. What I meant to ask is, what should you do if you have trouble playing in the cracks between the black notes? What if your fingers aren`t slender enough to play between the blacks too well? Even if you can slot your fingers in there, though they may perhaps rub against the black notes and sometimes make them sound, should you rotate or tuck your fingers to avoid it, or should you just jam you fingers in there anyway and play it like that?
Like I said before, I have average sized hands, and I can play between in the cracks between the black notes. But I noticed that when playing two consecutive white notes, like either B & B or E & F between the blacks, I noticed that it`s not much space for the fingers, and the fingers rub against the black notes, making them sound off. I was wondering if I should make an attempt when playing to tuck the fingers to avoid playing between the blacks, or angle the fingers to avoid playing between the black notes square on, or if I should just jam the fingers in there and play it like that...no matter if the fingers rub against the black notes and make them go down along with the white notes I`m playing between the cracks.
hope this helps you understand better.

I have large hands with chubby fingers, and in the beginning, I had trouble placing them properly between the black keys, and two adjacent white keys as you said. But, according to the music, I have made myself go up and down the keys in such a way that even if I touch the alien keys, I can still squeeze through without playing them. Since you need to press down the keys to play the note on the piano, the note isn`t actually played. For further practice, I used a keyboard with lighter keys, so its harder not to press the keys. That`s how I remember I got over it.

You have to, there`s no other way to legato the notes and chords. The hand is most comfortable playing it like that.

I like Mozart sonata in C, hall of the mountain king by greig and the Fur elise. but i prefer just to play modern ones, my fav bands are iron maiden, rammstein, greenday and metallica so im tryin to get hold of some of their pieces. Anything that i know as a song really is good to know on the piano- my fav piece that i play is `Big Spender`
