since chord fingering has been brought up before, I wonder what fingering would you choose to
play these notes C, E, B at the same time with the left hand ?
Would many of
you actually find the fingering 5,4,1 to be more desirable or better than
5,3,1? What fingering would you choose?
thanks for the help

If you are playing the root position (so chord of C would be CEG in that order), you should use fingers 5, 3 and 1 in your left hand. It might feel easier to use different fingering for now but once you get used to it you will find this is the easiest way.
If you are playing different inversions of the chord, you should use this fingering (this is for the chord of C, it might be different for chords with #s in)
1st inversion (EGC) 5, 3 and 1
2nd inversion (GCE) 5, 2 and 1

sorry, I think I misread your post!
I would chose fingers 5, 3 and 1 to play those notes.

Thanks for your answer, ella. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question.
Anyway, must a (1-2-5) fingering (right hand) be used for a triad block chord being played in 2nd inversion? Sometimes I don`t see a problem using (1-3-5) for such an inversion.
thanks,
