Hello,
What should I do if I hate everything about the university that I transferred to? There are few universities to choose from, but I wish I was anywhere but here. I also don't really want to go through registration process again. (nightmare)
The piano program is terrible. It's just not setup for pianists to be successful. It's not a program at all.
The choice of music classes is garbage or non-existent. Most the classes seem like they're aimed at being 'relevant' but I want to learn about classical music. The institution needs to hire more instructors but they will not.
I never have enough time to practice and the practice rooms are unbearable to practice in.
I hate the ensemble that I am in, it's too boring, and they have silly extra things that I am supposed to do outside of class that I am not going to do even if it hurts my marks. I feel like it's too late to switch to something else (There's not really anything to switch to anyway).
I find myself angry all the time because the university doesn't meet my requirements/expectations.
They lowered end of year requirements for piano students which sends a message to me that they don't care about the quality of their piano program when it was advertised that they have a prestigious program. I want to be challenged to meet high standards, even if I can't meet them.
The only thing I like is the piano lessons, I guess I am really lucky to have an outstanding piano professor.
