I was doing some work on a very old piano I have (so old no tuner in the region wants to tune it ಠ_ಠ
, and encountered a problem. My tuning hammer is a standard #2, while the pins are obviously not that. They are #1s instead.
I searched for months, and couldn't find someone who would sell me a #1 tuning hammer that wouldn't cost me an internal organ, as the market for those is very dry here in Brazil.
So, I decided to get someone I know to make me a tuning hammer socket adapter with the right measurements. For that, I'd need the dimensions for a standard #2 pin (Google only got me some ambiguous numbers). If anyone here could kindly measure the dimensions in this ~amazing drawing with some calipers, I'd be very grateful!
Thanks for you time
TL;DR: Need to make a part to tune my piano. Can you measure these on the pins?
