I don`t know what your idea of "not too expensive" means, but I`ll tell you my piano.

I have a Samick WSU-131MD. It`s an upright with sostenuto to A-sharp/B-flat 4. I got it for 6500 USD.

Well, I always hear that Steinway & Sons are the best, but, everybody is different. I myself would love to have a Yamaha but that`s only cuz` Jim Brickman plays on those . He`s my favorite.

But, look around is what I would say. There are alot of places here in the DFW area that sale repo`ed pianos as well as refurbished ones for a cheap price. I`m thinkin` about gettin` a Baby Grand and trading in mine. And the payoff on the one I want is only $3,000 Not bad for a baby grand, with a trade in might I add.

Regards,
Shawn

well, i use kawai piano it`s an upright and it`s not expensive and it`s very good. i think you should focus on the touching of the piano it should be quite hard so that your fingers will be strong.
