teacher at grade 8?

I have heard that a person can teach the piano having only got a grade 8 themselves, is this true?

it depends. u can only teach the beginners i guess, especially the small kids.

If you live in Canada... which I believe you do... The requirement to recieve ARCT (teacher qualification) for any other instrument other than the piano, you must get your grade 8 piano.

ya it is.... but you can only teach inb your house.... my sister started teachin once she reached grd 8 so i no for a fact you can..... and we live in canada so i doubht it makes a diffrence
