hi!
can anyone here recommend a site which reviews pianos?
Im looking for a beginners electric piano (i think).
The other half wanted a keyboard but ive convinced her to learn to play on a "proper" piano or at least a digital one.
Preferably a uk based site so i know i could get hold of the items they review.
thanks

I would say you are much better off buying a real acoustic piano in the first place, not a digital one. I have been playing now for seven years. About 9 months ago I got rid of my old acoustic piano and decided that I would like a Digital piano; a big mistake. I bought a Yamaha Clavinova - it was nothing like a real piano. So, since then I have purchased another proper piano but wasted lots of money going through this process.

i think that you should get a digital piano........ i`ve been playing for 7 years and that`s what i practice on........ i think that a digital piano is better because it doesn`t weight 2000 pounds.... Mine only weights 125 pounds... so i can move it around without breaking my back.........another reason is that you don`t have to tune it..... It`s alot of money to tune a piano but with a digital you don`t have to spend any money on tunning it......and on a digital piano you can get one with lots of other features.

If you`re serious about piano-playing then you MUST (note it`s in caps and bold!) get an acoustic piano. No digital piano can match the sound and touch of an acoustic piano. If you need a new piano then post in the forum of http://www.pianoworld.com/. They should send you in the right direction.
