I am a pianist who was looking for something online, somehow I ended up here but I have one thing to say.
A real pianist dosent have time to sit here and write these silly things, infact unless you have all practiced at least 6 hours a day you shouldnt even be online! get going, practice and then say that you can play the piano.

not everyone is going to be a professional pianist and devote their entire life to a single thing, and no one on here is going to be as dedicated as you are, so dont worry bout it.
but of course since you are going to be spending six hours practicing rather then reading these pointless forums, you won`t even see this.

6 hours a day is unproductive. If you`ve put the work in with your scales etc, and if you put a bit of thought into your practice rather than just mindlessly drilling everything over and over, you shouldn`t need to practice more than 3 hours a day.

I was able to play Chopin`s fantaisie Impromptu at the required tempo with every notes correct within 6 months of picking up the piano at the age of 19 without any prior music background. I believe that i would have been a world class concert pianist if i had started at 9 instead of 19. I`m dead serious
