I play the piano somewhat well. I taught myself most of the things i know. I can read sheet music(Not Sight reading) but the piano seems a little intimidating. I really want to learn how to play harder songs but i just dont know where to start. Can someone please give me some advice?

Try to get a book of many different composers and different songs in one volume. For technique, get some etudes. If you have any pianist-friends, you can ask them some questions.

There was no need for that all, he was trying to do was help someone... Anyway, moonlight sonata is a good piece to start with. My advice would be to play a piece that you really like the sound of as that way youll want to be able to play it and it will drive you to learn it. And if you find a part difficult keep practicing it over and over and eventually it will happen.

I`d say try Minuet in G, Moonlight Sonata movement #1, and Fur Elise. You can also try some of the easier Chopin preludes like No4, 7 and 15.

Chords are just two or more notes played at the same time. A teacher would help with that. And a thingie that looks like a b is a flat. That means to play one half-step lower. Like middle C to B, or E to E-flat. The pound symbol (#) is a sharp. That moves a half step up. The thing that looks like two b`s mean to play a whole step down, (Like E to D, or F to E-flat). And the thing that looks like this
_ _
|_|_|_|
_|_|_
|_| |_|
Is a double sharp.
Having a tr above a note means to trill.
Having a squiggly line going up means to roll it. That means to play the bottom note, then the middle note, then the top note. All in very quick succesion.
I didn`t know what you meant by symbols so I just went through a few. Ask a little more specifically, if you can
