I just can`t get my fingers to play fast enough, especially on one handed arpeggios. Any suggestions other than just working it out really slowly and repetitiously? I found that just drilling only gets me so far, I still can`t play fast engouh.

ah yes, velocity. a lovely subject. Firstly, relax your wrists.. (and hands and arms) Second, start out slow, which you mention you`re already doing. that`s good. third, let your (relaxed) wrists `roll` with the arpeggio. I know it takes awhile, but if you work at it you`ll get it eventually. Good Luck!!

A couple tips:
- Roll with the arpeggio, broken chords, etc (as suggested)
- Relax. Tight = slow.
- Try rhythms. Slow and loud. Long-short Long-short. Short-long Short-long. All staccato. And do all of these slowly, then gradually faster.
- Limit needless vertical hand movement. For example, I tend to drop my wrist when playing the thumb in a scale. As I go faster, this is what limits me. So I have to practice (slowly) pushing downwards with thumb and not using my writ to play with finger #1!
