Hi every1!i hav been playing piano 4 5 months and hav had 6 lessons.My piano teacher would like me 2 take my grade 2 exam in november.my friend has been plying piano 4 3 years has now fell out with me because i got betta than her faster.i really dont know how 2 make it up 2 her and was wondering whether i should quit piano?

no!!! dont quit the piano...atleast not because of someone else.the only time you should quit is when you dont like it anymore for a long period. never quit because someone else feels bad.

My advice... QUIT YOUR FRIEND, not your PIANO!!!

Or what you could do is go oh ive quit the piano now, and then secretly play to your hearts content! Well, maybe not, but just dont give up on something you love.

Hey there, do not quit piano to fix the situation, also don`t get rid of your friend of such a small thing, i`ve been through this situation before, the only reasons why your friend wouldn`t like you to be better than your friend is because they either think you only started piano because you wanted to prove yourself to be better, or that your friend is just jealous, which is even worse. If your playing piano for none of those reason you need to talk to them about it, ask them why they falling out with you and then work it out together, in fact make them look at the possitives such as now use 2 can play duets? have something extra to discuss sorta like that, just when you talk about it make sure not to brag or mention how fast your advancing. You also said you are comtemplating quitting piano for your friend, meaning your friend is important to you, if you really want to be thier friend and play the piano, make you your friend feel special about it, like maybe write a short song or something for them, works everytime anywayz I hope i`ve helped, take care and I hope you and your friend make things work.
