I keep hearing about ABRSM tests, and different grade levels that go along with it. What is this?

ABRSM is a renowned examination board. The abbreviation stands for Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music. Pls note that this is slightly different from Guildhall and Trinity. As those 2 are `public` examination systems drawn up by the 2 Music colleges...and there`s going to be an alamagation between these 2 boards soon. It`s called the Trinity Guildhall exam. And the complete overhaul will resolve in 2006...so do keep a lookout for newer syllubus etc.
ABRSM is slightly different. Cas it`s only a board, there`s no college attached to it. There`s only an office representing the board itself in London. But it`s been the oldest and one of the most established music examintion system by far.
