Here`s for you Tiffany: http://www3.sympatico.ca/renmusic/index.htm
Here`s for you, Geek: I am curious, why do piano`s suck? I mean the ivory feels nice to the fingers, and the music nice to the ears. For the people who were born with pianist skills, like me, we actually have FUN, oh no, is it, FUN???? You can play more than one note at a time on the keyboard, in fact all the notes if you had enough arms, but can you do that comftorbly and esily with any other instrument?

But now and then i learn a crazy song. I never had a teacher and i dont know note names wonder how good i can play if i ever got a teacher. But to busy with school now i only play for a few mins really :|

Wing,
I just found this topic today and I know this is kind of late in the conversation but I read you just played "Fantaisie-Impromptu" and needed a new song to learn that was challenging. There`s this wedsite I like to go to www.classicalarchives.com and they have a ton of compsers and their pieces (they play the whole piece) and I heard Franz Litz`s "Hungarian Rhapsody" which sounds quite challenging. Check it out sometime.

I been to a place in Houston that had digital pianos, this one sounded.. almost exactly like a real piano though i haven`t hear a grand before so I can`t so the digital ones sound great but it was nice. I still am persistent on not buying anything like that yet and keep lookin for a good.. not quiet so expensive baby grand since a grand is too big for my house Mabye a good upright. Right now I have a yamaha keyboard, of course its nothin compared to my teachers Steinway.. awe I love the Steinways hers is upright though! I wish to play on a grand someday! I don`t know what level i am.. i`m guessin. 1? lol I just started like 2 months ago and I`m 15 hehe 16 may 15th! yessss I love the piano a whole bunch and If anyone wants to talk about it e-mail me!! Webdisgnr101@yahoo.com!!

I`ve never really liked the feel of a digital piano, but then I`ve never played on the expensive ones. And the cheaper ones just sound too "electronic". But they are always in tune. And portable. It seems like I can get more expression out of an acoustic one.
And having also played violin and guitar, for personal enjoyment nothing beats a piano. Melody plus accompaniment all by yourself--what could be better?

You can get the same expression out of a digital piano, if you buy one that has the Hammer Weighted Keys. Those are very close to the same feel as a regular piano, sometimes just a little bit stiffer...
