sick of seeing everyone here making me feel like crap. Everyone here seem like they`ve been playing the piano forever and can play any piece in a snap. I used to take lessons but quit and I have recently taken them up again. It seems though that I`m not progressing anywhere. I try to practice but it seems like I can`t sit and practice scales and arpeggios for more then a couple of minutes. At school there are kids my age that are trully amazing at piano and I`ve always wanted to play like them but I just don`t know how long that will take. Basically my question is how long does it take to become good at playing the piano? to the point where one can sightread and are good at scales and whatnot. Can someone just tell me that it gets better then this because it seems like it`ll take forever?

It takes a while to get good.
Make a deal with yourself that you WILL sit down and go through all your scales etc every day for a month.
It will seem like torture at first, but at the end of the month it will be easy.
