I started playing when I was 3. I`m 18 and going to the Juilliard School with full scholarships. I`ve performed at Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully.

Well for a start it does kinda matter what age you start because it`s been suggested several times that the younger you start something the easier you pick it up, also the longer you`ve been playing the more chances there are of becoming better. Secondly we are not dumb, it was a question we answered. Thirdly, we might all suck, but you may know one day, because although this is the internet, we may one day become famous musicians and then you`ll know about us. And anyway, just because you have had bad experiences with piano, doesn`t mean we have.

I am 13 and I`ve been plaing for about three years, and my teacher just went to collge. It was really sad, I mostly play chords for my church though, I love it!

i feel old i`m 16, i never took lessons, but i`ve been playing for 2 years

I am 17 and I am self taught on the piano and I have know Idea what grade iam in....but when i was about 6-7 i was playing a 6 grade piece which i though was heaps mad...

this feels wierd. i must be the worst piano player on this site. im grade 5 (doing my exam to go to 6th in a few weeks) and im 12. everyone is so much better than me compared in the time they started. i started when i was 9.
