My favorite pieces are Ballade no.1 Chopin, and the fantasie impromptu.

I can play only beggining of ballade.....about first 2 1/2 pages of the score...then i cant figure it out because it gets so fast...and i havent been playing long enough.. so i can tgo past the 2nd page yet

I can play fantasie impromptu...at about 3 times slower pace than it should be played at...but the main fact is i completly love that piece... and think that Chopin )( in my opinion ) is the best composer ever.

btw. i am self taught...been playing for about 5 months now...started getting interested in piano when a girl at my cottage showed me howt o play fur elise....learned the whole piece by ear.. and then when i saw "The Pianist" i fell in love with chopin music...

and im 13...

What do you mean by saying `Fur Elise? That little piece of crap?!"?
That song is so beautiful! I learned it when I was 12 but I still love playing it! Don`t dis on the Fur Elise man!
I like Canon in D, personally. Not very hard but very pretty.

fur elise by ear what a pity!!and you`re proud of that,i bet that you`ve found merely the part that everybody knows!!!!try and find the first page of the third mouv. of DER STURM,which is a bit harder or the whole first of the moonlight.then you can boast as for my favourite piece it would have to be the first piano concerto from BACH,or the prelude in g minor of RACH,pretty different pieces!!!

Prokofiev piano sonata no. 7

as weird as it is, it has so much raw energy that I can`t help but getting pulled inside the madness. An ironically calm and tragic seoncd mvt, and a tumultous 3rd mvt that brings down the house. gorgeous and fun piece.

what the hell is with all the music prodigies here? the internet is full of hypocrites, meh.

anyway, the best piano piece I`ve played yet (just because I can play it completely) is "Fur Elise" by Beethoven. It is not crap: it`s simple yet beautiful.

I can only play the first few seconds of Chopin`s "Fantasie Impromptu", though. I wish I had the patients to learn piano correctly (not by ear and struggling over the notes crap).

thanks for listening

My favorite that I`m working on is the Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin. My absoute favorite though is Tchaickovsky (sp...?) piano concerto 1. I can sorta play the first page I really love all Chopin though!
