I recently fell in love with Chopin`s Butterfly etude. It sure is pure fun to play. Extremely light and fluffy!

fur elise may be commonly known but it`s beautiful and popular for a reason. i`ll admit that i was pulled into learning the piano when i first heard moonlight and was amazed when i heard the third mov. i like beethoven`s pathetique too. as for chopin, i love his nocturnes not only the famous 9op. plus i don`t think it`s nice to put people down, it just shows how jelous you are. commonly the person that accuses people of something is always guilty of what they accuse others of, or guilty of some sort of selfish ego trip that shows just how immature a person they are, grow up. and yes there are children with large hands at a young age that are quick and talented hands that were trained for speed. and tell me, how can you explain motzart if there is no such thing as young talent? be nice to the kids that kept interest in something that they have to challenge themselves to earn some sort of respect in a world filled with talent.

Aljosa Jurinic: you played the fantasie impromptu when you were 11? that is such a lie. wut key did you play in? C? i hate all these liars in these forums. they claim to have played these pieces, but they are all lies. you are probably 13, but i know that u did not learn that when u were 11. no teacher would teach that to an 11 year old...well not a sane one. first of all, 11 year olds cannot comprehend the ability to express themselves on the piano with such a hard piece. that piece is known for its speed and beauty, but it is known for that because of the beauty that the pianist must express when playing that. that goes with any other piano piece. so, like i was saying, you could not have played that piece when u were only 11.

Christina,

Loved what you wrote! I agree that if someone puts others down then they are most likely jealous or guilty of whatever they are putting down the other person for. I think what you said should stand strong in this piano forum...rock on!

Essence: you claim to have been self-taught? And you`ve played for five months in total? And your only 13? And you have played the Fantasie-Impromptu and the Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor? All at the age of 13 in the time span of a grand total of five months? I guess your pants have already caught on fire?

The piano is not an instrument that can be mastered or played so easily in such a short period of time and at the young age of 13. You claim to have been self-taught and you have played pieces by ear? Are you claiming that you are a prodigy? I seriously doubt that a 13 year old that self-learned the Fur Elise as his or her first piece could have also self-learned the Fantasie-Impromptu and the Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor in five months. You are no prodigy. You are a liar. Don`t you dare lie like this. You are disrespecting years of musical history and its composers.
