My favorite pieces. Hmmm. I love to play Aufschwung, Rondo Alla Turca and It Don`t Mean a Thing if it Aint` Got That Swing. By Schumann, Mozart and Ellington, respectively. However, being 13 and only played for a little over a year, those are the only fun pieces I can play all the way through (I`m starting Rage Over the Lost Penny and Revolutionary Etude). But I love listening to Diabolical Suggestion (Prokofiev), Heroic Polonaise (Chopin), La Campanella (Liszt), The WHOLE Moonlight Sonata (Beethoven) and Tchaikovsky`s Concerto No2. I know I`ve forgotten a bunch but I think that`s good.

My favorite piece, in terms of Mozart, is K310. Of Beethoven Op.31No.1. Chopin- Polonaise Op.26.No.1 (c#minor), Bach Concerto D-minor (I have played it but not performed it) and from contemporary Concerto No.1 by Muczynski. That covers all four periods

After a piano break on about 2 years, i began to play again 2 month ago. Without a teacher I had to find the pieces my self.
The first one i choose was Raindrop Prelude quite beautiful, the second one was Für Elise well its good but not a brilliant piece and it hasn`t deserved that popularity. Then I went on to Debussy`s Golliwogs Cakewalk, really a fun and difficult piece. Now im studying Rondo Alla Turca fun piece too.
But my to absolute favorites must be:
Hungarian Rapsody no. 6, there are melodilines for at least 20 single pieces!
and Fantasie Impromptu i really like the largo in it.

There are so many great pieces that i would like to play, such as liszt: la campanella, hungarian rhapsodys 2 and 4 and chopin: fantasie-impromptu and black note study, but out of the songs that ive learned since starting at christmas, maple leaf rag and fur elise (since it was the first song i learned...) are my favourites.

Mine is "Murmuring Brook" by Carl Bohm. It`s pretty fun, and at times your fingers just can`t stop playing because of the cadences and flowing sixteenth notes.

First of all, I think a lot of people on this forum need to stop putting others down. Maybe they`re liars. If they`re not, congratulations on your extraordinary achievements. If they want to brag about it, let them! Last time I checked it`s a free country.
Secondly, y`all really need to check out Scriabin`s Etude Op. 8, No. 2. Very very powerful, especially when played live. I`m trying to master it right now. I also want to learn how to play Rachmaninov`s Prelude in g. I heard it today, and it almost brought me to tears.
