I would have to say the favourite piece i have ever played is "Military" POlonaise by Chopin. It`s a tad difficut because of the +octive chords but its a great tune. I recomend any pianist to try it.... lol

It`s hard to choose a favorite piece (yes "piece", not "peice" or "song" *shudder* as some people insist on saying).
out of what I`ve played, I`d say the Schubert impromptus are very pretty, as are some of the Chopin waltzes. aside from those, I also love Pictures at an Exhibition, by Mussorgsky. I`d love to play that soon. And of course, the Chopin ballades are amazing, as is Prokofiev`s 3rd piano concerto, Beethoven`s sonata op. 53 (the "Waldstein"), Rachmaninov`s 2nd piano concerto... I could go on forever, though lately I`ve had a certain affinity towards Russian composers...

I`ve been teaching myself to play piano for 7 months, and I wonder which of these songs are easier to play: Fur Elise, Bach`s Minuet in G major, Scott Joplin`s The Entertainer (with single notes in the right hand part), the first or second movements of the Moonlight Sonata, or Linus and Lucy (Peanuts theme). I already know the first part of Fur Elise, but I might try the middle part.

QUOTE : Mine is Fantasie-Impromptu. I played it 2 years a go (when I was 11).
Well i started learning that piece 2 years ago when i was 17. hardly any practice, i still only know 2 pages of the whole thing..
That piece is at LEAST grade 7/8 standard and its very difficult,
at 11 (2 YEARS AGO) posted in 2003 so ure age must be 15 now
u must now be either GOD of piano or biggest BSer, -5 years of your actually real age. . .. or u are VERY TALENTED

now just a minute. u can`t say these people who claim to have learnt adult repertoire as tennagers are liars if you have no proof. prodigies DO exist you know. And even if they are lying that`s their problem.

aljosa.....you`re not fit to call fur elise a piece of crap! go on then, u compose something that brings as much emotional feelings to people as fur elise! maybe fur elise is not as showy as the hackneyed fantasie-impromptu but maybe it doesnt have to be!
