The movie drumline movie makes learning music and marching look alot easier than it really is, and I know a couple of ppl that started playing drums just because of that movie and the first time they had to march with their drum on in 108degree weather...they changed their mind REAL quick. Movies put a false front on what a real drum line goes through. And I sware if I hear 1 more person say "1 band 1 sound" Im gonna put my bass mallets some where they wont enjoy it! I dont know why but that just annoys me so bad!!!

I've been a drummer for a while now, and when that movie came out, everyone on my line back in 7th grade went to see it. I think me and my band teacher were the only ones that didn't see it, but she still saw it before me. hahah. the only reason i saw it was because our field show last year had in the stone in it, and it was in the movie so i was like, eh, i guess i could listen to it. It's an ok movie, but i hecka like watching videos like Vic Firth in the lot or something like that. That movie is too fake. I've seen DCI bands practice, and they're out in the sun all day, cause that's what it takes to get a show to look that good, so that movie made me laugh a little.
