Hey,
I need some heads for my drumset at church. I need some that will sound good, as in be loud AND have some resonance, but not too much. (these drums will be miked VERY closely. THANKS!!

i think i`ve found the perfect combo for you. the tom heads should be Remo Coated Pinstripes. off to a good start. Evans Genera G2 resonant heads for the bottom toms. for the snare: Genera Dry vented snare head, with an ambassador snare on the bottom (remo). Evans EQ4 Bass Head on the side of the drum facing you and the front of the bass is completely up to you. this combo is EXCELLENT for miking and gives the toms a very deep, smooth sound. the snare will sound amazing if you crank it a little bit. i use this setup on a stage custom and no one can tell the difference between a recording custom. sounds great live, too. i use the stock yamaha front bass head with the mic hole.

Thanks. Oh and one more question, the coated pinstripes, on a scale of 1-10, how much do they resonate? How muffled do they sound?(10 most,1 least)
I have some Remo Muff`ls on it currently and they sound like PVC pipes with heads!!
