From the ones I`ve heard in DCI, etc. they are good drums. Their tenors are by far the best and their snare drums are known for their lighter weight compared to the other drums out there and I personally think their snares have the best sound, but not everyone has that same opinion. The bass drums have a tenor-like sound to them, except their tone is lower and I`m not sure, but I believe they are harder to dampen (overtone wise). You should go listen to some on some DCI videos or go to a music store and see if you can play on some to see what you think.

about how much is a dynasty snare, at my hs we play pearl but I hate our drums and after I graduate I`m going to try out for some cores so i think it would be cool to have a real drum rather than just an x-pad to rpactice on

For the Dynasty Wedge Lite Series Snare Drum, you`ll pay between $300 and $330 and for the DFX14 Modular Snare Drum, it`ll cost between $350 and $430 depending on what options you choose, if any.
