ok well i think it all depends on what style of music you play and how much money you have to spend my friend has a pearl masterand i dont think it sound half bad but i have some dw's and i think they have the best sound i have ever hard when properly tuned wich isnt very hard i have heard that orange county has some amazing drums but they are extremely expensive and the ludwig are good the porkpie are amzing but really rare i think the drummer from first to last plays some me im about to buy some vintage drums wich sound really good they are 1984 tama superstars but i think it all depends on wich sound you want

it all depends on what kind of style you like to play and what sizes you prefer to play on (also if you prefer 100% maple wood, but who wouldnt?) i prefer JD Drums and DW Drums (JD Drums is a starting up company and they use 100% maple shells and they're customized drums) im one of the owners of JD lol so it can be advertiments lol (ive played for about 8 years) and whoever said that a Tama rockstar kit is the best...im really sorry but unles syou realyl know, dont post.

it just depends b/c as you can see, its all in a matter of opinion. my dad & i say tama & ludwig. he's had this pair of ludwigs since god knows when. n e set of drums will last , only if u take care of em
