Look...Any good drummer will listen to the sound track over, and over, again, and again, and realize that its all about the accents. Im a senior in High School from Nebraska. I have been drumming since I was in fifth grade and i cant even read music. I play all by ear. And trust me if i can play it anybody from the south could.

I am a member of the Cadets of Bergen County, d 2001 2002 2003 percussion caption winners in, the dci world champinoships. Also i am a music education major, the movie was slighty entertaining, but deffinetly dci is the place to be for your drumline needs. The movie stuff was kind of a joke.

ok, first of all

some of you ppl are just messed up, because if you thought that that movie was good, then you must have just been watching the acting because the drumming sucked...as a matter of fact the acting sucked too, so i dont know what the hell you saw in that!

One reply i have is to that dude whos instructor was with the cavies.

Ok first of all, im going to laugh... bottom bass huh? good for him. My instructor was the World tenor champion 1994, yeah thats right world champion.

second of all

the ones that liked that movie..... if you have any musical sense at all, what so ever you would know exactly what your playing because there is a minor thing called i dont know......"TIME!!!!". and if you really want music from that movie.... i really feel sorry for you, honestly i do.

the funny thing is that i would love to look at your face when you saw a scott johnson blue devils piece.

stick to the real stuff kids, and find something thats worth watching!

I`m just a 4th bass drummer on our Drumline here in NC, but we play one of the cadences from Brown`s side (well half of it anyways) and it is SO awesome. The crowd goes wild, but ur gonna have to write it yourself... maybe add in a few of your own twists... next year im movin up to snare... imagine that, 9 ppl on our drumline, and 4 are gurls! (next yr its only 3) and im the top player... its great but i practice a lot to get where im at.... have fun and email me sometime!

Well to whom the gentleman is that thinks that the band was from a high school in Florida.. WRONG!!!! Try "the Senate" (Atl. A&T), one drumline from the Cadets, one drum line from Madison Scouts. And as for Mr. Music Education Major, I think you need to go back to high school and learn how to spell. It is "DEFINATELY" not "deffinetly"
Now as I promised, I know everyone is looking for the sheet music to the BET Southern Classic. A friend of mine is still working on this. He has the Morris Brown snare line done for the first Cadence. He is writing the whole movie how ever. He is also writing Bass, Quads, Quints, Etc, etc.... If you are still looking for it email me at stormchaser2001@rtcol.com. Once I have all sheet music in my hand I will be more than happy to email it to you. I told you all once before this is going to take some time.. I should have all sheet music by the end of Feb. Reason it is taking so long is he is writing sheet music for Marching season next yr..... By the way Bob. Its not just about the accents either. The sticking plays a big roll in this as well. I can read, sight read and play by ear... if you dont have the sticking down and cant read what they are doing then you are going to be lost...

By the way... Go to Google and type in Cadences in the search bar. If you look in the right places you can find all kinds of Cadences including the Illusive SPIDER cadence... Some down loads require Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you dont have it most of the places will let you down load it for free. Some of these cadences I have gotten are tough. Some of them I had played as a freshman in High school.

I was very anxious to watch the movie. But i was terribly disappointed. I`m only in 8th grade, and i know that was crap. And since im a tenor player, i was mad that the line was based on snares and some bass players shakin there ass. If you liked that piece of crap, then you arent a real drummer. The movie should only appeal to people who have no musical background. I`ve seen real drumming since i live near MSU, which has the best college line in the world (directed by Brian Mason)
btw-my private lessons teacher played tenors for the cadets
