Sound Percussion nylan tipped for performance (nice sound), Vic Furths 5b (of course!) for just practicing, and a set of no brands that I got dirt cheap at a music store. (Don't blame me, I needed sticks!)

I have Zildjian 5b Dip drumsticks.

I used to play vater 7As but now I am a life-long customer to AHEAD. The 7A aluminum drumsticks (though outrageously expensive) are by far the best drumsticks made for set and marching. Buy a pair for $30 and they will last you about the same amount of time as 5 or 6 pairs of woods sticks, you cant go wrong.

I use Vic Firth 5an with plastic tips (i have no idea wat they r actually called) they r really good and have got a nice sound especially when doing drum rolls!
I have Amtrax 5b but i wouldnt really recommend them!
And I have a few cheap drum sticks that i have had 4 ages. there not to bad.

What sticks do i use? well i use tooth picks to clean my teeth, twigs to get dog poo off my shoes, a cane to spank my wife and pointy ones to kill vampires. Oh yeah and Vater's for the Sonor in my life

I use all Vic Firths, because thats all the local music store carries. I use:
Set: 2Bs or 5Bs, depending on how I'm feeling
Concert Snare: SD1 Generals
Marching Snare: Ralph Hardimons
Tenors: Vega Tenor Mallets
Marimba: M183

Thats about all the sticks that I have that aren't currently broken. I haven't gotten around to replacing anything recently...

Hey I'm new to this whole thing.

I was just surfin the net, trying to find what the best recommended brand of sticks would be for marching. For the last two years, I've found the sticks my school provides to be unsatisfying, so I'm buyin a pair of my own. Anyone have any recommendations???
