I am looking to expand my 5-piece Tama set with a couple more toms. I was looking on Ebay and came across a Titan floor tom. The buy now price is only $70, and I am not sure how quality differs with floor toms. Someone please tell me if it will sound ok.

i just got my Titan 5 piece E series.
you are basically getting what you pay for, the heads are crap, just go and buy some $50 remos. The cymbals are crap, they were dented after one night of playing. The snair aint bad and hardware is pretty decent. I think it looks pretty good for $260.

260
+
55 (new heads)
+
100 (new cymbals)
=
$415 for a nice set

i recomend for beginners or a backup

hope this helps

I just bought a cheap 5 piece set and just recieved it today. As far as I can see for the price it was a good deal.
Great beginner set. Although still putting it together now. All get back to you all when it is set up. It came with everything it said it would. plus it came with bags. And the snare drume was not just chrome it matched the entire set wine red. Peace Out

I found my titan with 2 minutes left. I paid $130! I just got my titan set up last night and it looks Awesome. All probably get some new heads down the road and maybe some new cymbals. But for now its perfect.

Opps sorry about that if it was me. But if your wondering if its worth your time I`d say yes. I`m sure eventually I`ll put on new skins and cymbals but for now with the price being what it was, I think they can be a good deal. Although I am just a beginner.

I`m interested in purchasing a 5 peice set for my 11 year old son. I visited our local store and found a Ludwig 5 piece on sale for $515.00 . Then I came home to find the Titan sets for 1/2 the price. What do you think I should do? $500 is alot of money for an 11 yr old, but then I don`t want to end up with a cheap set either. Will the Titans be something he can take lessons on for a few years?
