I have been playing drumms for about 26 years.I bought a 7 piece titan kit for around $400.00I put new heads and it sounds pretty good. They are not near as nice as my yamaha kit , but for the money I think they are great.

hey guys found this thread while browsing. I work for rockland in various areas of the company. Mostly in warehouse and marketing. I`m glad to see overall people are happy with our product. We try very hard to make sure each item sold is concluded with a happy customer. We stand by our product. Especially with our 5 year waranty. Our products are tageted for the individuals who are just starting out, or who cannot afford higher end models like Pearl or Rickenbacker. We always are expanding our product lines and are in the process of actually carrying some of the higher end lines at our usual "wholesale" prices. We are also evolving into many new items from latin percussion, and even some instruments <which names i can`t pronounce> from the middle east and other parts of the world. We love our customers, and love to see repaet names on the order forms that we see each day.

I bought a guitar from NMS and after about 1 month the bridge separated from the guitar. They sold it with a 5 year warranty. When I tried to get them to honor it, they said the warranty only covered damage from shipping and poor workmanship discovered upon dilivery. They refused to honor their warranty. It sounds like the drums have the same problem with workmanship and the warranty. Don`t buy from NMS, they won`t honor their warranty!!!!

i have to disagre the only 2 instances we dont honor our waranty are.
1- obvious abuse.
2- the customer <I am not applying that u are> is attempting to take advantage of us. which as with any company happens from time to time.

Rockland, any thoughts on the "ass through a straw" comment?

Then why won`t NMS honor their warranty? They wouldn`t even look at it. I called, they just said it is not under warranty. The bridge came off. The glue failed. There is no other damage. What kind of abuse is that? Some more of NMS excuses on order not to honor their warranties.

Hey there...
I have actually bought 2 titan kits, two of the 5 piece kits. Once I got them I complete took everything apart,I re sodered everything sanded the drums stained them, built my own custom designI got 4 Zildjian A custom`s 1 china, a ride, and a nice set of hi-hats, plus 2 ply evans coate heads, also addd some roto toms and am expection more, and I have been told by many the kit sound extremely well, I am very pleased with the kit, though I had to replace the snare with a much better one, for the price I think its quite the steal....

i bought a 5 piece titan kit from national music supply and they gave me what seems to be a coda. The set looks like a titan but it doesnt have the titan logo on the bass drum head and it came with a coda hihat.. I complained to them but theyre not emailing me back... so they suck.

i bought a set from a local music shop, the set i have is maple with a blue finish and they sound good my only beef with them is there harware on the bass drum striped quick but the shells dont crack if you over titan unlike most beginner kits, as for the heads buy expensive unresonated heads and youll have a kick ass kit

I just got a titan 5 piece set for $201 w/ shipping included. From what I hear im going to try to put some studio rings on it rather than new heads. Also does any one know any good cymbals for a low price.
